I realised there is one lesson I’ve been saving for later. It’s not tied to just one mythical friend. It belongs to all of them.

What do you do when you’ve tried your best and still hit a wall?

What do you do when you don’t know which way to go?

Children face their own mazes every day. Making new friends. Starting school. Learning something hard. Trying again after getting something wrong.

Adults face mazes too, though they call them different things. Work. Health. Loss. Change. Dreams that take longer than expected.

Sometimes, we all stand in front of a dead end, wondering if we’ve gone the wrong way.

The maze represents the twists and turns we face in life and stories.

Dead Ends Are Not the End

Here’s the thing about mazes: a dead end isn’t the end of the journey. It’s a sign that another path is waiting.

Inside The Minotaur's Maze, Griffin will find something important. Not a treasure. Not a secret. Not even a new mythical friend.

A truth.

One I’ve come to believe while creating these books.

A year ago, I hadn’t written a children’s book. I hadn’t published a story. I hadn’t built a website or started creating teacher packs.

I had a small idea. One small step. Then another. And another.

The path wasn’t always clear. There were dead ends. Wrong turns. Moments when it would have been easier to stop.
